Confirmation at Faith is intended to instruct young people in the basic things of the Christian faith and to help them see, first hand, how that faith looks in everyday life.

1st and 2nd Year Students (usually 7th and 8th graders) meet Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. during the school year. 3rd Year Students meet monthly during the school year.

Students may begin in 7th grade, and complete 3 years of confirmation at Faith. All confirmation students are also welcome to participate in Luther League activities

Years 1 & 2 teach the Bible and Luther’s Small Catechism through class work and activities. We study important stories of the Old Testament, the words and stories of Jesus, and the letters of Paul and others. Through these Bible lessons we learn about the parts of the Catechism: Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, Lord’s Supper. We also play games 🙂

Year 3 is our “Faith in Life” year, and during it we visit places that help us to see how our faith is lived out:

In life-changing events: maternity ward, nursing home, funeral home
In our interactions with creation: winery, zoo
In government and law enforcement: county jail
In education: Luther Seminary
In media: radio station
