Important Update from Faith Lutheran Church
September 22, 2020
Dear Members and Friends of Faith,
The Church Council has made the very difficult decision to discontinue in-person worship beginning in October, until further notice. In addition, we are closing the office to walk in traffic as of September 28. The church office will continue to be available by phone, Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 763-444-9201. Church business will continue, and you are welcome to make a scheduled appointment.
This was not an easy decision, but is based on the recent increase in positive cases of COVID-19 in our State and in Isanti County. We’ve been faced with this once before, and now feel it is the responsible action to take for our congregation, our pastor, staff and community.
Worship and the mission of our church will continue! Sunday morning worship will continue to be broadcast on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/faithlutheranisanti/live and also via Zoom for those who don’t have internet access and want to listen to the service on their phones, much like a radio broadcast. (Directions on how to participate in this manner are forthcoming.) Written weekly sermons are available on our church website: www.faithlutheranisanti.com. (Please contact the church office if you would like a copy sent to you by mail or email.) Adult study groups, Confirmation and children’s programs will continue remotely as well. As things develop, we will keep you updated.
We may not be gathering in person, but we continue to gather using the tools we have. Be assured God is with us and through him, we remain connected. Stay safe, and God Bless.
Kathy Smith, on behalf of the Church Council
and Pastor Ian Coen-Frei
